I do miss him, more than anything in the world.
But I know he would be proud of me.

Dad, I'm sorry I never made it to the Cancer Research run this weekend,
But I thought it would be too hard, and I didn't want to light a candle for you.
I didn't want to go among the people that survived the very thing that killed you.
I would find myself asking why they deserved to live, but not you.

Ps - It would seem that my best friend not only went,
But thought it appropriate to get drunk.
How very respectful.
Thanks a lot.

Your voice was the soundtrack to my summer.

I start school again in, oh, seven and a half hours. Goodbye, summer.

This summer has been better than I could've ever hoped for. I experienced so much, and laughed harder than ever. I wore a smile on my face, and genuinely meant it - everyday. My health was better than it's ever been, I wasn't sick or sore for weeks on end. It was good, really good.

I stayed up all night, and opened up to someone I had only just met. I visited New York City, and became a regular at the Starbucks next to my hotel. I stayed in Glasgow for a few days, and I finally visited the Cathedral. I went to Nottingham, and met my heroes. I jumped, I danced and I sang my heart out - I didn't give a fuck. I camped out, and stared at the stars. I had people see me for what I am now, and not what I was a year ago. I danced in a field with my friends, and let people take photographs of me. I went to my Uncle's birthday party, and didn't sit in the corner all night. I got drunk, and started the season all over again. I hung out with people that I hadn't seen in months, and sorely missed. I hung out with people I had otherwise been disconnected from. I watched more movies and ate more ice cream than I've ever done in my life. I went to the beach. I watched the sunset. I fell into someone's arms, and felt safe. I was paid a compliment, and actually took it. I fell in love with my own life,
finally.

I would throw myself off this bridge right now, if I believed in taking the easy way out.

She wants to choke on her life again,
Breathing it in like a deadly poison.
She cries, cause she's lost.
She doesn't even know what she wants.
Her eyes grow cold, she begs the world to just let her go.

But I won't let her go.
