Sunset over sunrise,
Pray for a bright new tomorrow.
With each passing days, of passing ships,
Beauty in the eye of the beholder.
But I would never pray for such times that near,
Where smiles that cease are replaced by fear.
Of unknown, change, most unwelcome in my book.
Aptly titled, a fresh start;
Yet something so fresh is the result,
Of shattered farewells, much to the reluctance of some.
Faded, jaded, romance; burns, sparks, fizzles out.
I long for this moment to last an eternity,
Although it seldom does - it resurfaces again come sunrise.
